Your Empty Nest Coach Podcast, Episode 32: What Life Skills Should My High School Child Be Mastering Now To Be Successful In College?

Hello, my Empty Nest Friend!

This episode topic comes from a Green Popsicle Stick (Private) Group Facebook member. Once again, when I sat down to organize and script this out, I had no idea that I had so many thoughts on the subject. Too funny.

Katie asked, “What skills are you glad you taught your daughter before she went off to college? And, is there anything you wished you’d spent more time on with her?”

These are fantastic questions from Katie, whose daughter is already ahead of the game, as you will hear in this episode.

Your Empty Nest Coach Podcast, Episode 31: How do I Find Friends in the Empty Nest?

Hello, my Empty Nest Friend!

This episode topic is from a fellow listener who asked about finding friends in the later years of life. When I sat down to organize and script this out, I had no idea that I had so many thoughts on the subject. But then, I do have a lot of thoughts on many subjects, don’t I? Ha!

Anyway, remember that some friendships serve seasons of our life, and others are in for the long haul. Either way, if you are looking to add friendships into your life, take a little bit of time to figure out what you are looking for in a friend, and then enjoy looking for those new friendships!

Your Empty Nest Coach Podcast, Episode 29: Christine, What Will I Do With My Time, and What Should I Do Next?

Hello, my Empty Nest Friend!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I needed this episode when I wrote it. Throughout our life, we experience change. Sometimes it is expected, sometimes it is not. When we are unable to be patient with ourselves through the transition, things can get a little off course and “boil over.”

In this episode, I talk about the importance of a simmer in a beef stew and what that has to do with your life.

Your Empty Nest Coach Podcast, Episode 27: What Are You Making Grades Mean?

Hello, my Empty Nest Friend!

So, I wonder if this episode is the one that gets my listeners worked up. These are thoughts that we don’t hear often, so I’m putting them out there. If you aren’t a fan of my approach – it is all good, differences are what makes this world interesting.

However, if you can barely stand to listen to my take on grades, I challenge you to take a look at your thoughts and be curious as to the why. Ask yourself, “Who would I be in the world, if for a moment, I tried on these new thoughts and could find myself in a space where I believe them?”

Let me know where you are and let’s chat about it.  If you are happy with who you show up in the world as with your thoughts on this topic, then you are all good!
