Hello, my amazing friend!

Coach Christine,

Your Empty Nest Coach

"...take a couple of seconds here and think of a recent win of yours: small - or big, that you can celebrate. Do you have it? Now imagine all of your closest friends and family members running up to you right now and giving you a high-five. Yes, all of them individually. How fun is that?"

Celebrating You and Your Wins[sound]

My win? I’m going to say more about this in an upcoming episode but I’ve decided to take a summer break from podcasting. I LOVE podcasting but with some changes in my life (with the move, having our daughter home and such), I saw another podcaster who mentioned her summer break and I thought, β€œyou know what, I think that might be a great idea for me.” The more I considered it the more it felt right. This being said, you are going to get three more episodes from me before I go on summer break. In that final episode, I’ll explain why this is good for me and also why it’s something you should consider for your own life for things that you do have the ability to take a break from. The recap of my win is that I’m giving myself permission to take a podcast summer break.

As for your wins, I’m happy to share the last two weeks of wins from TikTok and Instagram! See my show notes to click through to view these wins and cheer everyone on. As always, please forgive any mispronunciations:

Sunnydays shares, β€œI get to virtually visit an old school I went to and I had a rough day yesterday but got through it and I am feeling better than ever.”

Sunnydays also stayed positive even though they had a rough day and finished two books in one day!

Classymalik finished the semester!

Sparklysapphic got the second dose of the vaccine and was able to do some prep work so was barely feeling any side effects.

Macenjoystaley finished writing a paper and submitted it on time!

RyanCawl3y came back from last week (which was rough) and stayed on top of all of their work this week!

The5KiloTraveller is getting an article published!

RamonaWildeman Committed to a cover illustration for her book.

ReviveYourMidLifeMarriage shared, β€œnot taking or triangulating when my adult children have conflicts with one another. They have to figure it out without my mediation.”

LaureyBennettLevy stayed in bed and watched all three seasons of Broadchurch to help pass some time of feeling, β€œlow.”

It’s good to do that sometimes.

[cheers]

Thank you all for sharing your wins. Now my listener, I want you to take a couple of seconds here and think of a recent win of yours: small - or big, that you can celebrate. Do you have it? Now imagine all of your closest friends and family members running up to you right now and giving you a high-five. Yes, all of them individually. How fun is that?

As a reminder, you can always share your win with us on TikTok or Instagram. Add your win the comments below my Wednesday Win posts and we will cheer you on, my friend.

What I Wish My  Parents Knew

I wish my parents knew how tired I am when school ends.

My listener,  I’ve mentioned this before but I don’t think it is possible to share this too much: When your kiddo - of any age - ends their school year, give them grace and be patient with them. If they can sleep in and if they do - allow them to do so without giving them a hard time. Of course,  we want to make sure they are mentally okay but more than likely they are exhausted. If you allow them to have the space, Not only will they appreciate it but by you giving them the time to recharge without giving them a hard time, you’ll be gifting yourself with removing unnecessary drama from your life. As a reminder, I have a list of tips for college breaks on both TikTok and Instagram. On Instagram - look for the guide I created for you.

And of course, my beautiful friend, don’t you dare forget that you are amazing.

Talk tomorrow!
